Schedule changes for Sunday:
DETROIT, Mich., July 11 - High winds on Saturday afternoon caused a minor change in the elimination heat racing schedule for the Chrysler Jeep Superstores APBA Gold Cup race.
Winds over 25 mph blowing from the west, up the river, caused three to four foot swells on Saturday afternoon, delaying the second elimination heat of the day.
Elimination heat racing will begin at 10:45 Sunday as originally planned, with a second heat scheduled for 1:05 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. and a third scheduled for 2:45 to 3:25. The APBA Gold Cup final will be run at 4:30 p.m.
Winds are expected to be light and coming from the north on Sunday.
